Antelope Hills Report
Irena, Mark, Charlie and I all met at Antelope Hills around 9 a.m. Conditions we're light and variable getting stronger as the morning progressed. I think they were ideal conditions to practise handling your wing under constantly changing conditions (just as we experience at most of our launches). M...

Thanks for the report Ross. At least you got some air time in. It's been pretty much blown out for Pg's around here. Yesterday a few of us went to the training hill for a couple of hours, but that was all. Of course today should be ideal for Box, but I'm playing golf. Hope you saved some vac. time t...

Monday morningn PG training hill
There's a possibility that we can do some training at the "Antelope" training hills in Sonoita. The window I see is between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. The valley winds are projected to be 11 mph / ssw. It may be slightly stronger there due to the hills. But it a good opportunity to practise. I'll make mysel...

Sunday Paragliding
As of Frid. afternoon it looks like Sunday will be the day for either Box or Mustangs, (valley winds out of sw/wsw at 7mph). Please let me know who's planning on going. 906-0182. We'll determine the site depending on who's is flying, and on Sat. eve's forecast.

Angelo, I'm assuming you fly Pg's since you mention the Mustangs. The way I read it Friday afternoon looks waaaay blown out, esp. in Sonoita Valley (winds 20-21 mph in the valley). I'm also anxious to fly but have company in town. Also, as of today, the forecast calls for strong winds all weekend. W...

Alamogordo Fly-In, May 27 & 28
If the Alamogordo fly-in is approved, is anyone planning on going from Tucson? I'm seriously thinking of going, but never having been there it would be nice to join up with someone.

Excellent Benoit, looks like things are coming together for you. My concern was that we get people flying here from all parts of the country and world who are not accustomed in flying under these conditions. Our launches and Lz's are not what one finds in the Alps. Most of them are not forgiving. An...

Benoit, this is Gunter. I do not know of anyone locally with extra equipment. However, I will get back to you with info on the nearest pg instructors - maybe they have some equipment for rent. By the way, when will you be here and for how long? Also, can you please tell us of how many hours and flig...

The only window I see is possibly at Box between 6pm and 7pm for a glass off. Surface winds at 6pm are at 8mph (12 -13) at lower launch; and 6mph at 7pm (9 at lower launch). Upper levels winds are ok. I'd like to go but have to see what my back feels like by this afternoon. Anyone else thinking abou...
