In order to fly most sites in Southern Arizona, a pilot is required to be a current member of both SAHGA (Southern Arizona Hang Glider Association) and USHPA (United States Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association). A member of the Phoenix-based, Arizona Hang Gliding and Paragliding club (AZHPA) does not require a SAHGA membership, due to a reciprocity agreement, but does require a current USHPA membership.
Your membership dues support flying site improvements and maintenance and third-party liability insurance for our site landholders.
The 30-day SAHGA Membership starts immediately and expires after 30 days. It will provide access to the SAHGA Members-Only section of the website and message board. This level of membership is required if you are a visitor or a student-pilot. During the 30-day period you can upgrade to an Annual Membership.
