As of Friday pm I'm looking at Box for Sat afternoon. I expect winds at the lower launch to be around 12 -13 mph out of the wsw to w till 5pm. Could be a nice glass-off.

Thanks for sharing the videos Morey. They really bring home the point. These things are nothing to be taken lightly when they approach. From a pg perspective if you see one approach, as you're waiting at launch, quickly ball up your pg and jump on top of it. And if time permits unhook and get out of...

Sunday PG flying Report
Mustang turned out to be a slight bit weaker than expected. Four of us(plus one guest hiker) showed up to soar - John W., Allen R., Irena, and myself (Gunter). Most of us were at launch by 2:00 pm. Wind was light with cycles coming thru every 5-10 min's. I launched first into a cycle, got picked up ...

As of 7:30 a.m. it looks like it could be good for the "Mustangs". Valley winds pretty much out of the WSW to W at 5-6 mph. Could be a little light at launch (9-10). Winds at 6K' are around 8k/ 10 mph. It's worth a trip out there. Right now I'm planning to be in the Lz around 12:30pm (unless the upd...

Looks like this weekend is blown out for the PG's. I was even thinking about practising kiting in Sonoita, but even that looks blown out by 7am for both Sat. and Sun. Even San Diego looks too strong and rainy. Now Bakersfield, Ca would work, but that's a 9-1/2 hr drive. Gunter (I'd rather be paragli...
