Congratulations
It's always nice to fly a new site. As an RC guy you should have taken something to play with while the winds were mellowing. Here's a link to the Flagstaff Flyers info page on Greens Peak: http://www.flagstaffflyers.com/flyingsi ... speak.html

Thanks
Thanks for the report John and also for hauling us down to Miller in the new and improved Jeep. Also thanks as always to Whitney and Debbie for your great company, cheerful support on launch, and for driving the vehicles back to the LZ. Welcome back Morey - not bad for your first stiffie flight in m...

Saturday
It's too early for a reliable wind forecast for Miller, but what I see at the moment seems to agree with John and Dr. Jack. If true, it won't be a paragliding day, and it has the potential to be too strong even for the stiffies. But I'm hoping the evening update will show mellower conditions. Any th...

Saturday
From what I see of the forecast, I tend to agree with John. Apparently the combination of the monsoon high and a low to the southwest is bringing in a bunch of moisture and strong SE winds. I'm going to be out until about 10 PM this evening but will check the message board when I get back. If someon...

Mingus
My tentative plans are to go up Friday (possibly even Thursday) and return Sunday evening. I may be looking at some real estate in Prescott before heading to Mingus, but I'll know more as the date approaches.

Mustang Sunday
Thanks for the write-up, John, and also for volunteering to be the carpool driver. It was pretty remarkable to see six Tucson PG pilots (we consider Guido a Tucson pilot since he flies more than some of the locals) flying at the same time. Also, it was a pleasant surprise to have Gunter and the red ...

Mustang
The morning forecast update is still showing SW. If it is correct, Mustang could be flyable anytime this afternoon, though it is likely to be rowdy in mid-afternoon conditions. My bias would be to fly the glassoff. Depending on the number of people who want to fly, that would mean being in the LZ ab...

Andy, I haven't heard from anyone so I'm planning on checking the weather in the morning with the intention of trying to fly Mustang in the afternoon. If you're wondering about alternate launch sites, Eric could tell you more about that than anyone else. But if you're referring to the Huachuca Mount...

Evening Update
The updated aviation winds are 210 at 9 kts at 6K and 180 at 11kts at 9K. The ADDS and FSL models are also showing SW in the 5-10 kt range. If correct it would probably be a coin toss for flying chances for the stiffies at Miller and unlikely to be flyable for the bag wings. Given the greater intere...
