Yeah... and it was pretty high up there as well. One of those scenarios where you look at it and wonder if you'll ever get it down.
However, after a trip to the store for a 24' ladder and other items by Justin and Guido, and a few hours work by the 5 of us, we eventually were successful in extracting the wing from the tree before it got dark. Although it deserves a close inspection, we think that the crispy new Windtech Tempus came out unscathed, as did John. So, we were all beaming about our sucessful accomplishment- even if it had little to do with flying.

A ladder? Drove to town! wow! An I was told Hang gliding was too difficult! Glad you saved the chute.
Once on Mt Lemon we had a glider and pilot up an eighty foot tree, Galen climbed up and helped Jacque down. I launched over him,so did Bishop!

I posted a "before" picture in my personal album. All the others that have been posted thus far were taken after we labored for an hour or so without any tooling.
On Sunday Jana (the Line Queen) and I untangled the lines and inspected the wing. I remain amazed at the abuse these things can endure. The only permanent reminder of this mishap appears to be some small patches of discoloration on the fabric. I kited it, and all appears to be well.
Thanks again to all the folks who helped with the recovery: Dennis, Guido, Justin, and Morey. Also, thanks to Paula who resisted the temptation to simply leave us all on the mountain with our silly toys (she had the keys to my truck).

Title for the picture: "Now that's a unique tree-topper!"
Inspired by the Christmas-tree aroma of the inside of my truck after hauling the wing home.
