The A was a lot of fun to fly on Sunday. I flew with a couple of hawks chasing them around in thermals till they were tired of me and left!
The rc pilots were out in force soaring just above the hill side well below me , most of the time. I was able to get a grand over at the highest in thermals behind the south side. When the wind switched easterly I came around with it and soared out over the cliffs and out to the flats across El Grande.
The lift was great, some times 1000 fpm up! I flew for just a few minutes short of two hours!
John Lowery showed up to launch me and drove my truck down.
