Jason makes it a good day at the A

He flew his pristine U2 for over an hour boating around mostly over the southeast end, Not an awful lot higher than the peak of the A. Eric launched his Falcon 225 and got something like 15 minutes generally flying the same area. Chuck Park launched his Falcon 195 and got about 2.5 to 3 minutes in a nice sledder which included a couple of 180s below the A and another on base. All had good launches and landings although I allowed myself some distraction and got a little slow turning to final and jerky getting upright. Winds when Jason launched, 6-8. maybe 160, Eric 5-7, the same, Chuck 5-6. the same, Overcast and cool. I got in on the end of the day, Jason landed shortly after I did. Got some cheers (not jeers) from the witnesses as we passed them on the way back up at the parking lot below the A. Ken helped us all launch, then drove down and picked us up afterward. Thanks alot Ken.

My last flight at the A was May fifth, 1994 when I was only 49. I landed out front then. On hand to observe during that period of time were: Jason, Mark Sawyer, Paul, Randy K., Steve Owens and Eric. Glider was the Breeze.

So I feel good. This was my first flight at the A in ten years, and my first landing in the real lz. I'll be back.
