Bill Bennett,age 73, a founder of ultralight avation, was killed in a crash of a powered trike today, Oct 7, 2004, at 07:30am

While taking off from Lake Havasu Airport, the craft lost some power on the climb out and crashed next to the 32 Runway, nose and left wheel impacting the ground.

Bill was taking Instruction at the time of the crash and the Instructor was taken to Las Vegas regional hospital with critical injuries.
