Joel Peterson is requesting paperwork from USHGA. What's the status. Sign will be up next week and if paperwork is in with waivers we can fly.

ID cards

Post by jlowery » Wed Aug 18, 2004 11:29 am

I'm not Morey, he'll have to answer about the USHGA insurace. But:

The flight directors (Eric and Gunter) are collecting the signed waivers. Anyone wishing to fly the "A", or are even thinking they might want to in the future should contact one of them at their roster numbers.

I'm supposed to be getting the ID cards printed and to the flight directors. I'll get to it tonight, it's been a crazy week.

Note for lurkers: our agreement with the city requires that you have and maintain both USHGA and SAHGA memberships to fly the "A". It's an insurance thing. Please don't ask us to lie for you on the paperwork so you don't have to join; it would, for sure, get us thrown off the "A" again and it won't happen.

True. I haven't sent the money into USGHA yet. I've got some more paperwork to fill out. I'll get on it. Sorry.

ID Cards

Howdy fellas,
Would it be possible for someone like me to obtain the necessary paperwork to fly the A? I'm just thinking that if the opportunity presents itself it would be nice to be able to do it.
Any chance of reciprocity on the club memberships?

Jerry,

We have membership bylaws on the agenda for the next meeting, I could bring it up.

Jerry,
Start by sending in a signed waiver to Eric.

I would gladly sign a waiver. Do you have one on line I could download, sign, and fax to someone?

Waiver

Post by jlowery » Fri Aug 20, 2004 8:33 am

I've posted a link to the waiver in the revised "A" mountain site guide at http://www.sahga.com/amtn.html. There's also a link to the form in the members-only section.

Since SAHGA as well as USHGA memberships were required by the city we'll be discussing temp memberships (a bylaws change) at the next meeting.

I don't think Eric or Gunter have fax numbers, but you can fax it to me at my work: xxx xxx xxxx, just give me a call at xxx xxx xxxx so I know to look for it. I'll pass it along.

No big hurry though, it will be a little longer before the site opens, and we have to decide what to do about the memberships.

Thanks,
John
