Sat. Morning Flying at Box

Is anybody (besides me) interested in flying Sat. morning at Box? Conditions should be good for Paragliding early on. As of Thurs. eve'g conditons for Green Valley are: 9am-S-5mph; 10 am-SSW-6 mph, 11 am- SW-8mph; 12 noon-SW- 10mph; thereafter it gets stronger. I figure be in Lz at 8am, up at lower launch at 9 am, in the air by 9:30 am and land around noon. Let's see what happens by Frid. eve'g. Gunter 906-0182 (c)

I would like to fly Box in the afternoon on Sat. It is not much of a morning site. May be from the ssw bowl down below, Hg launch area is not very good until later usually.

What`s up for tomorrow evening?

Eric,
Frid afternoon looks good for HG's. Between 3pm to 7pm, winds out of the W between 10- 13mph at 3000'. (GV) ( I have a previous engagement. )

Sat. also looks good fo HG's in the afternoon, winds out WSW at 14 to 15mph at 3000'. I'm still shooting for Sat am.

I may Train Sat morning and fly in the afternoon. I had to change my plans and stay in town this week.

As of 9:30 pm Frid eve'g, it still looks like I'll be in the LZ at 8:30 am; launch at around 10am and fly tillnoon. (maybe) . I will post again tomoorrow at 7:30am. Gunter

Things have changed slightly but only for early morning hrs. The plan is now to be in the Lz at 9am, at launch by 10am and in the air around 10:30 am. At which time I expect the winds to be SSW @ around 10 mph at launch.
