Website Downtime

Post by ioan » Wed Mar 04, 2015 12:12 pm

If you tried to access the website the last day or two, you were prompted by an error message. Our host had some issues and went offline. When they came back up, apparently they added some restrictions on how the hosted sites can connect to the back-end database.

I thought it was a temporary glitch that was going to be fixed when the host came back up and didn't have time to thoroughly investigate until today. I made some changes to the database connections and now everything seems to be restored.

Sorry for the inconvenience

Due to the slowness and general unresponsiveness of the current web host, we are moving the website to a new paid host. Please be patient during this transition. The site will be unavailable for about an hour. The dns propagation might take up to 24 hours. If you still can't access the site after 9 AM March 11th, please make sure you clear your dns cache.

If you don't know how to do it, read this article

The website is now up on a new host. Please let me know if you see any inconsistencies.
