We SAHGA would like to dedicate this years climb to Russ Anderson. Russ is a former SAHGA president, also a Climb A Mt event organizer, of many years. Russ was a principle discoverer of the Box Canyon Hang gliding site.

Our inspiration for this years event is Russ Anderson.
Russ served as SAHGA president an organized this event for many years.
He was responsible for discovering the present Box Canyon Hang-gliding site. He worked to maintain the road into the Box site as well as Miller Reef road. Many of us spent our flying time Hang gliding with Russ, he was a excellent pilot true friend and a free sprite, we will miss you.

Hey Pilots, I plan to be down to Tucson for the 3/7 Climb "A" Mtn fun day. Who do I need to contact to have somebody take my PG gear up before we start Hiking?

I'll be on the road a lot this week, so if somebody can call me with instructs, I appreciate.

We will meet in the parking lot on the south side of the bld, PIMA CC east campus.
I will be on the south side of the building 7:30 leave to hike at 8:00. 520-405-3814.
Please be on time. Look for the wind sock. call if your running late.

If you would like to fly We are meeting in the LZ at 6:30, road up A mt closes to vehicular traffic at 7:00.
call to notify me you are coming other wise I will not be there long.
By 9:30- 10:00 the A will be open so if your looking to fly when it warms up that works also.

How was it today at A Mtn? I'm so sorry I couldn't make it. I got a call from My Sister about midnight last night, that our Mom, 86, had fallen, and had to be at E.R.

So, I spent the day with her in SunCity. She's doing very Well. I'm glad for that, but wish I had been in Tucson.
