Sunday Flying report

Miller Canyon 24 Sept 06

John Lowery and Alex and I flew today.
The weather service actually got it right! It was east all day!

We launched Tandem, my new student Alex and I at 1045. The South East breezy allowed us to soar above the reef for a couple of passes. We worked a few thermals on the point and ascended back to launch height. Cruised the canyon a few times and headed out to land, turned out to be hard to get down. Even the air over the LZ was going up!. Good fun!
We flew for 30 minutes a good first high flight!

John launched a little later and soared for 45 minutes getting to cloud base 9200 msl, a white out in a small puffer.
David Bishop was generous and drove for us, thanks Dave.
We even got home in the early afternoon, 3 pm.
