Argh!

I just talked to the USFS in Hereford, all of the roads in the forest (including Carr Canyon) are still closed, at least until tonight. The 103 fire is currently 85% contained, they're hoping for 100% by the end of the day. The TFR covering Miller launch and LZ are still in place.

I'll talk to the USFS tonight and check the TFR tomorrow morning, but it's looking real iffy for Miller Saturday. Better chance Sunday.

Sunday looks blown out. Sat looks good at Box. I'm playing golf in Tucson sat. morn'g, so I should be back home by 3 pm. Could be there for a glass off. We'll have to check the weather again in the afternoon. Call me on my cell in the afternoon, or post if your in for Box. We'll just have to see what the weather actually is sat. pm. Today, frid. pm, it's a monsoon in Green valley (rain, lightning and thunder).

If the roads open, the TFRs lift, and at least one other PG pilot with Miller experience goes, I'm in for Miller.

The TV news announced that the 103 fire was 100% contained as of 6 PM today. The TFR has been lifted as well.

I'm unable to get through to the USFS office in Hereford this late, but they indicated earlier today that the roads would be open once the fire was contained.
