Re: Lane Lamoreaux incident at Soboba 1/27/13
To update you all, I've been chatting with his buddy and it appears that Lane is in stable condition, but he is most certainly not out of the woods. He is intubated/ventilated and unconscious and he has massive injuries--even by my standards. I don't know what his neurological status is but he may h...

Little Cloud Spiruline order
Hey y'all, I'm planning to place an order soon for some Spiruline 3 gliders. I need at least 3 to get a legitimate bulk order. If you're looking for a mini-wing for use in higher wind conditions or lightweight hike-and-flying, check out the Little Cloud website. I've played around with the Spiruline...

Re: Parachute Repack
I would love to do a repack clinic with Mic. Cromer and I have been practicing with various repacking methods and I'd like to hear Mic's input as a master rigger.

Sorry to hear that this happened to Lane--if anyone has his permission to release the exact nature of his injuries and they know what they are, I would appreciate a description.

Samaniego this weekend
Hey folks, I had a great flight from Samaniego a couple of days ago with calm winds from the west. Launched about 2:00pm and flew almost all the way to the biosphere. Stopped short because of a headwind and landed in the golf course at Saddlebrook. Great flight and the bills were coated with a littl...

Catalina flight 2/7/12
Aaron Cromer and I had a couple of great flights from our new site in the Catalinas last week. Lift was weak, to around 8000 MSL, but easy to find, and I climbed up over launch, then took off northwest. I flew over Putsch peak and out over Oro Valley, cruising downwind and finding sporadic lift. I l...

Valle de Bravo trip
I just returned from my trip to Valle de Bravo, Mexico. The flying was great, with consistent thermal flying conditions and evening flying as well. I logged over 10 hours of flight time and had my longest, highest, and farthest flights on record so far with both my old Team 5 wing and my new Ozone D...

Box Canyon Friday?
Box canyon might work this afternoon. I might leave after lunch and hike up the front side.

Mustang 2/1/12
I had an nice ridge-soaring flight over Mustang on Wednesday. Almost 2 hours of flight time! The wind was from the west about 10-12 mph. There was a suggestion of a glassoff, but i didnt get much higher than about 800 feet over launch.

Well Soren and I hiked up there a couple of weeks ago. Sadly, the wind was in the wrong direction. It was a long hike back down. The road looks great, they obviously just re-graded it, and the launch seems unaffected by the fire. Tomorrow might work, although the wind is a bit southeast and anything...
