Friday looks epic for the Aubreys. I believe Eric Tucker is planning on being there. Jeff B Johnson and I are also planning to be there. It would be great to have a big group. The weather forecast is a tad better than the day that Dustin flew 201 miles a couple weeks ago. Thermals to 18 or 19K and good wind to head down the 40 beyond Flagstaff to Albuquerque or beyond. DRIVERS WANTED so if you aren't in the mood to fly but would be willing to drive that would be awesome as well.
To fly the Aubreys we are required to sign in. There is a box located at the sign in station along with sign in paperwork. Fill out the papers, leave the one and keep the red tag on your rear view mirror while there. You must return the red tag to the box when you leave. Included in the file below are all the locations you will need for flying at the Aubreys, including the launch, LZ, signin box, the gate you enter through (Aubreys Green Gate) and right or left turn markers for the dirt road that winds its way to launch. You might wanna save this stuff in your Google Earth "Places" folder for future reference. Right click on the link below, save the file to your hard drive, then locate it on your hard drive and double click on it. It will automatically load the yellow pins to Google Earth and take you there. If you right-click on each yellow pin and then select "get info" it will show you the longitude and latitude for each pin. You may want that for loading the coordinates to your vehicle's GPS.
ping me if you have questions.
