Valle de Bravo trip

Post by flydoc » Tue Feb 07, 2012 9:55 am

I just returned from my trip to Valle de Bravo, Mexico. The flying was great, with consistent thermal flying conditions and evening flying as well. I logged over 10 hours of flight time and had my longest, highest, and farthest flights on record so far with both my old Team 5 wing and my new Ozone Delta. The new wing thermaled beautifully and has an awesome top speed and glide, with only some rare checking of potential deflations required.

I highly recommend visiting Valle de Bravo this time of year. The El Peñon launch is enormous with cross-country potential in all directions. Soren and I also visited the La Malinche launch near Tenancingo, a few hours away from Valle. We also had great flights here, but found the weather to be a bit more unpredictable for the time we were there.
