Miller is closed
The Carr Canyon road is closed until April: http://www.fs.fed.us/r3/coronado/docume ... eExtnd.pdf and http://sierravista-fthuachuca.kold.com/ ... april-2012
I don't know what the status of the hiking trails are. Eric Smith has a request pending with the Sierra Vista Ranger District to get access to our road easement to the Miller launches, but as yet we have had no response.

Well Soren and I hiked up there a couple of weeks ago. Sadly, the wind was in the wrong direction. It was a long hike back down. The road looks great, they obviously just re-graded it, and the launch seems unaffected by the fire.
Tomorrow might work, although the wind is a bit southeast and anything south at Miller is suspect. The lift also looks horrible so it would be a long hike for a short sled ride down...

Aaron,
Do you have any photos of the launch area?
I'm not going to Miller. Don't want to make the big hike. Also I don't see any SE wind in the forcast. I see E winds on the surface and stong (15-20mph) ENE in the upper levels slowing down through the day. Top of lift looks to be in the 6-7k level. It might push a little higher at the mountian. Launch is at 7500ft which means it could be above top of lift.
If you go, take some photos of the area and have fun.
I'm planning to go over to A-Mountian and watch Dave fly.
