Damn, Soren. I was hoping to get that flight before you did and then tease you about it! Well, I think we can safely say that our launch site has been working extremely well all season. Should we reveal it? It's so conveniently close, although the hike can be a bit brutal in 108 degree weather...It ...

Hi, y'all. I am indeed Dr. Telemark on Ebay, and yes, I have been making these antennas just as John Lowery described, with coax cable. This version works for paragliding because it runs up your suspension line with heat-shrink tubing, but would also work for hang gliders as well with some zip ties....

The clinic was a success despite two broken boats and one broken winch. Ioan and I were able to get almost 2 clinics' worth of tows in, and we progressed well beyond a full course and perfected our full-stalls, spirals, wingovers, and even did a couple SATs on the last tow (before the boat broke...a...

Lew, I'm so glad that Soren and I were there to help you. It has really been a pleasure for both of us to fly with you over the last year, and we're sad that this happened to you and that you may not be flying anymore. You've been an inspiration to us and also to many of the people in the hospital. ...

Well, yesterday was an exciting day at Box, and here is my eyewitness account: Soren and I hiked to the top launch and were there at around noon, and it was very gusty so we chatted and napped a little at the top. Lew showed up a few hours later and we chatted and napped some more. We could see Guid...

I had a good ~50 minute evening flight at Mustang yesterday. The winds were at the upper limit of my ability to take off, about 12-15 mph. It was rather laminar though, and I was confident that I could manage with my speed bar. I got plucked in the high winds, but I was ready for it and immediately ...

SIV in August
Hi y'all, Ioan and I will be attending 2 back-to-back SIV clinics with Brad Gunnuscio through Eagle paragliding at Lake Barryessa from August 4-9th. Ioan will be flying to San Francisco and I am thinking of driving and picking him up there. It would be a good time for more SAHGA pilots to sign up. I...

Hi Soren, I'm also a relatively new P2 in the area. I've been busy with work lately but I have random days off here and there to fly during the week. I've been flying (or at least attempting to fly) about once per week, at least. Mustang is a good place to start your Tucson area flying, and I go dow...

I'm interested but it does seem a bit pricey and I work from 4pm-1pm every day that weekend. I have a small window of time to attend and would probably only be able to drop off my harnesses for repacking. I've been trying to get ahold of Mic to have him help me pack both of my harnesses/reserves, bu...
