New P2 also new to the local area.

Hi Everyone,

I'm a recently minted P2 with about 40 training hill jumps and 10 cliff launches/ 9-10 beach landings, ha. I was wondering if anyone will be flying relative benign sites anytime soon and is willing to help a noob. Thanks.

BTW: I have a glider, harness, and radio. And recently joined the local club, but didn't make the meeting because of a work trip.

Brad, welcome to the club. We use the forum to coordinate flying plans, so I'd suggest watching the forum and planning to join us when we head out flying. We really have very few sites in southern AZ suitable for a new P2 in the summer, but now that we know you're here, we'll start looking for opportunities to get you in the air. Your timing is good though, as the season winds down in the late fall, the air will become more manageable for you.

Please send me your contact information including an e-mail address, and I'll provide some additional background information on our sites beyond what you can find the web site. In the meantime, please have a look at the site descriptions on the web site.

Welcome to SAHGA and welcome to the Tucson Area.

I got an e-mail that appears a few people might be going to Box on Saturday (8/25/12). I would forward you the info but I don't have your e-mail. It would be a good place for a P2 pilot to go.

If you get this in time, you can try to call Ewan and find out what the plans are. I'm not going Saturday but I might go Sunday. We are thinking about going to Mt. Lemmon on Sunday. Mt Lemmon is not a P2 site but you are welcome to tag along and check out the area.
