Robin Hastings of the RGSA sent me a reminder about their Columbus Day fly-in at Dry Canyon in Alamagordo, October 7th - 10th.
If you've never been it's definitely worth the drive. Dry Canyon is a spectacular west-facing H3/P3 site that overlooks the town of Alamogordo and the White Sands national monument. They have a grassy LZ in Hobby Park, and there is camping and an assortment of hotels and motels there.
If you thinking about going and need directions, post here.

Dry Canyon
I had a great time with a great group of people. They had about 12 people show up. Flew all 3 days. Got in one XC of about 23miles and estimate I got in about 6hrs of air time over 3 days.
