Eric thinks it might be good in the afternoon for Box. It looks light and southwest to me, but you never know.

He's got training in Sonoita in the morning. If it does look good I'll be meeting him in the Meadows around 1 PM. If you're thinking about joining us, you'll want to confirm by phone or radio. My cell is 444 8105, and I'll be monitoring 151.925.

As of 9pm Frid, it looks good for Box all afternoon. Winds SW to WSW from 7 to 8 mph in Green Valley. Who's planning on flying and When? I'll be there.

Just spoke to Scott. He is thinking Mustang might be a better shot since things are light SW. Scott said he would confirm with a post by 1-2pm to be in LZ by 4pm. Sounds good to me. Ross

6000' winds are 10 knots at 260 degrees.
9000' winds are 9 knots at 260 degrees.
cloud cover = no major thermal activity.

A perfect day for Mustang.

Ross and I will be in the Mustang LZ at 4 PM.

Just as I was departing Tucson, Ross called me from the Mustang LZ and reported rain to the east and east winds from the corresponding gust front.

the sky looked perfect

Damn. The sky looked so good on Saturday and Sunday.
I was really hoping to read some great flying reports this morning, so that I could fly vicariously through y'all.

I wasn't about to go flying on my wife's first mother's day. I do have some sense of decorum.

I had a nice 6 minute sled ride at Mustang.(yuk) The wind was howling for aover an hour, all the way up to launch. Then at 3:30, just as I got there it died.
