aaaaaaagggh.
Seemed like a surprise hit, but the title does say "flying a Fohn", which I think is the Alps equivalent of a Santa Ana wind. So, conditions were (perhaps obviously) a bit on the textured side.

It would be an interesting test to see a PG and HG launch side by side in such conditions, to see how they each handle the same situation. I'd think the HG would have taken a good smack at least. Perhaps flown out of it, perhaps hit the deck (or in this case- snow) Hard to say.

Wow- that looks like a launch into the lee side rotor if I've ever seen one.
