Tracklog discoveries
So I finally bothered to load all my tracklogs onto Leonardo, not just the big flights. And I've been doing a lot of calculating, looking at track logs and adding up hours and flight numbers and miles per year, and I've come to some interesting discoveries, for anyone who cares: 1) I thought I had w...

Re: Avoiding Blow-back
Chandler Papas (a Phoenix instructor) consistently tells his students that applying bar in order to avoid getting blown over the back is a bad idea. He says he cringes whenever he hears observers on the hill telling a pilot to get on bar when they're going backward just off of launch, because they'r...

in town this weekend
hey all, I'm going to be in town this weekend. Wondering if anyone has any plans to fly Mount Lemmon. Weather is looking blown out at this point but is it turns around by the weekend I'd really love 2 Fly. Give me a call or text. 520-289-7512.

Santa Cruz Flats for paragliders!!!
Hey everyone! I've been considering doing a paraglider division of the Santa Cruz Flats race for some time, and I'd like to do a 'dry run' this year on the second weekend (September 20-21) of the event. I asked Dustin Martin and he said the more the merrier, so we're good to go there. I figured I'd ...

Samaniego Ridge (sp?) tomorrow July 7?
Hey guys, I've been wanting to fly this ridge for a while and noticed that tomorrow is looking pretty good for it. Single-digit winds are forecast past TOUL at 15 grand. Winds on launch forecast 0-5 from the W/NW. Anybody willing and able to show me the site and fly with me there tomorrow? Thanks!

New AZ PG state record
I hate to toot my own horn, but John Wolfe asked about my tracklog so I figured I'd go ahead and fill you guys in because I'm sure there are a few of you that don't check the AZHPA forum regularly. Though Pav and his Miller Canyon flight still have the mountain launch record for AZ, I broke the over...

I'll be in Tucson the next month
I won't have a ton of time for flying because I've got boards coming up in December, but I would really like to fly Mt. Lemmon some time while I'm here. So please keep me posted when you guys are next going. Oh, and I'd like to fly A mtn just for excretion and merriment.

Man, I don't want to stir anything up here, but I just hate it when people think choosing paragliding over hang gliding is all about instant gratification. Learning to thermal and keep your paraglider wing open is a skill that takes a lot of time and patience to develop. The real appeal to me that m...

Nice--if I hadn't planned this already I'd definitely be participating. I'm gonna send you a PM. If anyone else would like to lock in a slot, email me at the address provided. Slots won't be locked in until we talk. We'll be doing a few of these sessions throughout the year. If these dates don't wor...

Over-water tow session dates!!!
Sean Buckner and I are going to start doing over-water towing here soon. We've already had one successful over-water session in the fall just with close friends to test out how the rig works in my boat, now we're going to do it for real. We're looking at probably the weekend of the 3rd of March and ...
