Saturday Flying

For the visiting PG pilots, I recommend the lower knoll on Box Canyon for Saturday. The winds are forecast to be NW to W, and it looks like Mustang might get blown out. The winds, along with the cycles, are likely to be strong enough that there will be no need to go to the top. However, if the HG crew is headed to the top, you may as well tag along with them after leaving a vehicle or two in the front.

Please beware of the terrain when launching at Box Canyon. Wind from due west generally splits the spine and produces mechanical turbulence on both the SW and NW launches on the lower knoll.
