Flying sites

If I understand it correctly, all of our sites are open except Miller. I called about Miller and they indicated that the road is washing badly. I forgot to ask about the Whetstones. I asked about Box canyon and they indicated that it is open.

:D  :P :)

My understanding that the LZ is not in the Coronado national forest but as soon as you cross the fence going up to the lower launch, then you are in the Coronado national forest.

Correct. The PG and HG launches are in the Coronado National Forest. The Box LZ is on State Trust land.

This part of the announcement was interesting. With respect to Miller Canyon and Carr Canyon roads, closed by the Monument fire:
This specific Sierra Vista Ranger District closure shall remain in effect until August 20, 2011 or until rescinded, whichever is earlier.
