After reading Lew's message re Soren flying Box on Thursday, getting 3000 over, and top landing twice etc., I think he's most likely ready dor Miller as long as John or Andy give him the scoop on Miller and sponsor him for the first flight there.
I don'tknow to many P3's that top land Box and get 3000 over and are nice enough to hike down and help Lew bring his stuff up.
Soren have a great flight at Miller. Look forwaed to your first report.

So me and Raquel, John L., Aaron, Andy met at Houghton and headed to Miller. Conditions were gusty and variable but were mostly coming in on the SE launch at maybe 10 to 15 mph. Andy launched first at the East launch and got to almost 9k quickly. John launched next at the SE launch and made a good save on a lousy launch. He got up quickly to about 9 k as well.
After seeing that, I decided to recruit Aarons help who was still undecided on whether to launch or not.
I launched next and had a weird launch as well. I took two steps and stopped due to the glider not feeling level. So Raquel rushed to grab the wing wire and just as she grabbed it I took off again. She said that it caused her to slide down the launch a little before she let go. Fortunately she let go and I had a good launch after that. I got up pretty quickly as well.
Aaron opted out of flying all together.

John decided to land after about a 30min flight due to the conditions being so rowdy. Andy also landed for a short flight for the same reason.
I opted to stay up and eventually made it to almost 11k MSL over Carr. We were hoping for much higher flights and perhaps an XC but the conditions weren't good enough. In any case, I got 2 hours of air time today.
