Miller Canyon this week

You fly when conditions allow, or you don't fly.
On Thursday, ADDS has the 6000' and 9000' winds aloft at 0-5 NE at 11 AM, 5-10 NW at 5 PM. Dr Jack predicts top of lift at 12-13k and the -3 at 10-12k, thermals 600-700 fpm.
On Friday they have 6000' and 9000' winds at 5-10 SE at 11 AM and 5-10 SW at 5 PM. Top of lift predicted 15-18k and the -3 at 14-16k, thermals 700-900 fpm.
Either day could be very good, with Friday looking better but rowdier. The weekend is starting to look all southwest again, probably not Miller-able.
Eric Smith has a tandem to do on Thursday, and I just want to get some flying done and will take some vacation to do it. Anyone else interested?

PG at Miller in May
Hi, Soren
Miller is rated a P3 site, so you'll need a sponsor. As a P2, at least in the beginning you'll need to fly and land early before strong thermal conditions kick in. As an HG-only pilot I'm not comfortable sponsoring a PG pilot in strong thermal conditions.
Sorry about being a drag, but there have been two PG deployments and a number of big collapses over the years, and having been badly hurt there myself a couple of times I tend toward the cautious side.
Please give John Wolfe, Andy Miller, A.J. Frye or one of the Aarons a call. Perhaps one of them can come out, familiarize you with the site and sponsor you.
