A quick intro.

Post by SorenTheStorm » Sat Jan 15, 2011 12:02 pm

Hello All,

Although I met some of you at the meeting this last Tuesday, I figured I'd take a minute to introduce myself to the rest of the local pilots.

My name is Soren. I am a P2 pilot (certified this spring in Northern AZ) who just recently moved to Tucson from the near-arctic lands of Northern Minnesota. I'm big into climbing, cycling, flying and anything else outdoors. So, needless to say, I'm really diggin' this area so far.

The only thing missing from the equation so far is some "air time". But, it's not because I'm not ready and willing; I am! So, I'm putting it out there. I am ready to get out and check out some of the local sites whenever any of you have the time and a willingness to show me around a bit. Though my work schedule will generally be 12 hour shifts every Fri., Sat., Sun. that has not taken effect yet. So, feel free to contact me anytime you might be heading out.

Thanks so much,

Soren (sorenbraddock@hotmail.com or (520)829-0122

Hi Soren,

I'm also a relatively new P2 in the area. I've been busy with work lately but I have random days off here and there to fly during the week. I've been flying (or at least attempting to fly) about once per week, at least.

Mustang is a good place to start your Tucson area flying, and I go down there often although it is frequently blown out and I end up walking down. There is a new tandem instructor living in Bisbee (AJ Frye) who we have been tow-launching with several times, and we're planning on doing more of that very soon. It's a good opportunity to learn how to tow-launch if you haven't before.

Anyway, give me a ring or send us your phone number and I'll let you know when we're going out next.
