Reserve Repack

Post by ioan » Thu Jan 06, 2011 1:31 pm

The folks at azhpa (Chandler Papas) are organizing a reserve repack + simulation clinick on the weekend of 22nd. If you are interested, check it out at the link below. I've never thrown my reserve and I need a repack anyway so I'll be there. If anyone else is up for it, let me know, maybe we can carpool.

I want to go to the tossing clinic, but I'm juggling a couple business trips that may put me out of town that weekend.

I'm interested but it does seem a bit pricey and I work from 4pm-1pm every day that weekend. I have a small window of time to attend and would probably only be able to drop off my harnesses for repacking. I've been trying to get ahold of Mic to have him help me pack both of my harnesses/reserves, but he's been busy this winter. I'll email him again and let you know.

Repack Clinic

Post by AZ Chandler » Thu Jan 06, 2011 11:20 pm

Thanks for postin this up!!! it does seem a bit pricey, I know. We're hoping to really make it worth it. If you read the thread it explains a bit about how you'll get to throw more than a couple times and yada yada....
The guy helping me has to come up from Quartzite and we're puttin a bit into it so I just wanted to make sure we were fair.

So if you're hurtin let me know and we'll work it out.

Those that know me will tell you I'm not about the $. The main goal is to get AZ pilots going thru a real reserve clinic and repacked at least annually as local as possible....and have some fun doin it.

I've gotten real inspired to do this since my reserve malfunction at Mingus last labor day.

We really all need to be doin clinics more. (jus my opinion)

So maybe it would be better, after we dial in the first session here in Phx, we can work out a place to do one in Tucson for you guys???
We can doooo it!!
Whatever works. I will keep in touch with you guys in this forum about how it went and let's just work it out.

If you just wanna do the repack give em to Imiftode amd we will inspect em get em repacked and get them back with him.

Hope to see you guys in Valle soon.

Aaron, I'd be more than happy to take your reserve/harness with me and bring it back packed. You can drop it off at my place the night before or we can figure something out.

Not to take anything away from doing a chute clinic, but we have two qualified riggers in Tucson. Mic Sherwood and Eric Smith.

I expect that Eric will be at this week's SAHGA meeting on Tuesday night.
