You can't trust the forecasts this time of the year, but Box looks like it should work tomorrow. I will try to free up my schedule so that I can fly in the evening.

I'm interested, especially if we can get a driver for Box.

John,
If you like a bit of excitement, we could try a shuttle using my 2 wheel pickup for the second half of the shuttle. It has new tires on the rear wheels. My old pickup could make it.

Can't say for sure yet but I could be a driver tomorrow depending on where we are going...

Whitney, we're thinking about going up the back side of Box Canyon, where the stiffies fly. We'll then hike to the top (about 30 minutes carrying wings) through the trees, in the shade.
Depsite Lew's adventurous spirit, I'm not up for a retrieve in the dark on that road, especially if we're using a 2WD truck for one of the trips up there. :)
I like the looks of the forecast for Box tomorrow afternoon. But, I don't want to go there unless we have a driver. So, we need to make a decision this evening because my fall-back plan is South Mountain in the morning.
Where are all our aluminum endowed friends?

Well, if it's just the baggies, we would probably opt to be on launch by 5:00 p.m. I think that means leaving Houghton and I-10 by 3:00 p.m. or so. We can fine-tune that depending on where you live and where we choose to meet the other pilots. I live on the NW side of town.
If the stiffies join us, I'd guess they would want to go earlier.

Whitney,

What’s the earliest that you would want to go and what’s the latest you would want to be back?

If you don't mind retrieving me on an attempted cross-country, I would be interested in going earlier.

Let me know

Andy

Whitney,

If you are interested in driving for me, call me. Ill be up as late as 11:00 or call me in the morning when you get up.

I was thinking about leaving I-10 & Houghton around 9:00-10:00 and I suspect we would be back way before it gets dark. I can be very flexible on timing.

We have a driver!
I'll collect Aaron, and we'll meet Andy and Lew at Houghton and Sahuarita.
Aaron is available as early as 1:00 p.m., which would put us at the meeting point around 2:00 and on launch around 3:45. That's probably earlier than Lew and I want to be in the air, but we could do some launch maintenance while Andy chases the big air. Or, we could go about an hour later.
Lew, please let us know your preference.
