The 2008 Miller Canyon Fly-in, September 20th and 21st 2008. A fun fly-in for HG/PG with XC, duration, and spot landing events, and cool trophies. The entry fee is $40 in advance, $45 on-site, which includes a t-shirt.

Miller Canyon is a big-air mountain site, even in the fall. Minimum H3/P3 and USHGA membership are required for this event. For details see the Miller Canyon site guide here.

Dry USFS campground available near launch, and hotel/motel accomodations are available in Sierra Vista, about 10 minutes away from the LZ.

Driving directions from Tucson to Miller Canyon LZ: Take I-10 east about 40 miles to exit 302 near Benson. Take exit 302, turn right onto Rt. 90 south towards Sierra Vista. Go about 27 1/2 miles to the light where Rt. 90 takes a left (east) turn into town. Go straight (south) instead onto Buffalo Soldier Trail, about 6 miles to the end at Rt. 92. Turn right (south) at the light onto Rt. 92 and go about 5 miles. LZ is on right (southwest side, about a mile after Carr Canyon Road and the Mesquite Tree Restaurant). Enter to right over cattle guard on Mountain Vista Road, drive ten feet, park in dirt spot on left.
